Plank timer FAQ

What is a good plank timer setting?

A useful starting point is 30 seconds of planking, 30 seconds of rest, and 3 to 5 rounds. Increase hold time slowly when your form stays steady.

Is a longer plank always better?

No. A shorter plank with tight glutes, braced abs, and a straight line from shoulders to heels is usually better than a long hold with poor form.

Can I use this for side planks?

Yes. Turn on alternating side cues or use the side plank preset. The timer will label left and right holds so you do not have to remember the order.

Does the timer make sound?

Sound is on by default for start, rest, and finish cues. You can turn it off and follow the large visual countdown instead.
