How to use the quadrant brushing timer

  1. Choose 30, 45, or 60 seconds per quadrant, or enter your own time.
  2. Start with the highlighted upper-left section.
  3. When the prompt changes, move to the next quadrant.
  4. Try to cover the outside, inside, and chewing surfaces in each section.

Why quadrant timing helps

A big countdown makes it easier to avoid rushing one side of your mouth. It is also handy if your electric toothbrush does not have a visible 30 second pacer, or if a child needs a screen cue beside the sink.

Quick brushing routine

1Upper left

Brush gently along the gumline, then inside and chewing surfaces.

2Upper right

Keep light pressure and let the bristles do the work.

3Lower left

Angle the brush toward the gumline and slow down near the back teeth.

4Lower right

Finish the last quadrant, then rinse the brush.

Toothbrush quadrant timer FAQ

Is 30 seconds per quadrant enough?

Thirty seconds per quadrant creates the common 2 minute brushing routine. If your dentist recommends a different routine, use the custom seconds field.

Does this replace dental advice?

No. This timer is a simple routine helper. Follow guidance from your dentist or hygienist for your own teeth and gums.

Can kids use this timer?

Yes, the large prompts can help kids understand where to brush next. Young children should still be supervised while brushing.

What if my electric toothbrush already buzzes?

You can still use this page as a visual companion. It shows which quadrant is active and how much time remains.
